The Dude - Campbell's Goodwill Ambassador

The Dude isn’t much of a talker, but he loves to meet and greet people, give high-fives and take selfies. If you’re looking for a silent but super fun guest that really lights up a room, The Dude is your guy.  

Absolutely! The Dude loves a good celebration and is available for private and corporate events as well as public, non-profit, school and fundraising occasions. If you are a Campbell Chamber member and wish to have The Dude at an event, you may be eligible for special pricing. 

Requests can be made online 30 days in advance and preferably no less than one week prior to the event. Requests are made on a first-come, first-serve basis. You will be notified by email on the status of your request. 

For private events, the cost is $150 for an hour appearance. If your organization is a non-profit, please contact the Chamber. Once your date is confirmed by the Chamber, payment must be made in full to secure his appearance.

The Dude has a 10-mile radius from Campbell, but if you are in the South Bay and have a great event, reach out to us and we may be able to talk him into widening his range. Note: additional fees may apply. 

The Dude will typically make a one-hour appearance where he will be interacting with event-goers. This does not include the time needed to change into and out of the costume. Longer time periods may be able to be accommodated but will incur additional fees. 

The Dude will need access to a bathroom and a large, private space to change into and out of his attire.  

If your event is held outside, The Dude will need some shade, especially if it’s warm. The Dude doesn’t fair well if it’s extremely wet or windy – he definitely has a ‘climate window.’ 

If your event is indoors, The Dude will need wide doorways and enough space to move around – he’s a bit cylindrically challenged.  

We are looking for people interested in being a Dude performer. If you are between 5' 5" and 5' 10', love to be making people smile and have an outgoing emotive personality, we want to hear from you!

There is a short training on how to be The Dude and properly represent The Dude's personality in public.
